Hi, I'm Mia.

I don't speak English. My husband is helping me translate this. So if something doesn't sound quite right — please understand. But every word below comes from my heart.

I live in a small city in northern China, with the 20 cats and dogs I've rescued.

They are the reason I started crocheting.

A few years ago, I saw stray animals who needed help, and I couldn't walk away. One became two. Two became twenty. They are my family now. But feeding 20 hungry mouths and paying for their vet care is expensive. I couldn't keep a regular job while taking care of them.

So I picked up my hook. And I never put it down.

MiaHandKnitting is just me. No team. No factory. No shortcuts. Every flower, every plushie, every little bag — is made by my hands, stitch by stitch. Usually with a cat sleeping next to me, or a dog resting at my feet.

I didn't rescue them because I wanted anyone's sympathy. I did it because I'm human, and they needed help, and I was able to help. It's not a big deal.

I don't want any special treatment because of this.

But if you buy something because you genuinely like my work — then I am truly grateful. Your support turns into their food, their medicine, and the quiet days they spend sleeping next to me.
